Silent NIght For Brass Quintet

I wrote this for my brass quintet. Not too much behind it... just a nice arrangement. m. 25 is supposed to have 2 notes in the lead trumpet, as the G is an ossia to the high B. Comments are welcome as always :-) Also if anyone wishes to use it during the holiday season, I would be honored, but please ask first :-D

Even if you hate it

Great piece! I really like your use of minor 7th chords - it really works. You must be a chordal genius - it sounds quite fascinating how some of them progress!

What went well:

• Good chord structures - different to the original; makes it stand out and almost jazzy.
  
• Beautiful use of melody; particularly with the trombone and trumpets - they each complement each other very nicely
  
• Often musically orgasmic. ;)
  

To improve:

• I don't see the point of it being in 6/8 - why not 3/4? It is much too slow to be interpreted in 2 beats, so I think you should somehow change that.
  
• Dynamics at the end of bar 13 are slightly off - perhaps a crescendo into 14?
  
• Not much else, to be honest.
  

Well done! Fantastic interpretation of the piece. A whole new mood at some points.
