Carol of the Bells Fantasia

Featured Replies

A fantasia on Leontovych's "Carol of the Bells". It contains several traditional Christmas hymns throughout.

Unfortunately the music can not be found. And where is the score? A veteran like you should know better ;)

Fixed the .mp3. I don't have a clean score yet. I shall get one eventually. :)

One concern, Umm the Violin part at 8:49 to end, is that in the "real" range? I feel like it will be missed when preformed, will all of the string players "searcing for the note". I liked how the kept the moving accomp. from Carol of the Bells going throughout the peice. Good work!!! Looking forward to seeing the score!

I really like it.

I like the Bell Carol ostinato, and the transitions from carol to carol.

Good fantasia! :) I just now realised that John Williams used "Carol of te Bells" in Home Alone too:

I like Christmas music.

I absolutely love this!!! I love how you implemented several christmas themes throughout the piece flawlessly! I wish there was a score to follow along, but it also helped just give images to my head as the music went along!

Thanks!

I never made a score because this was more composed "for sound" rather than actually playable. I might make a score one day though. Thanks for reminding me.

I think that this is one that you actually should bother making a score for since this is a piece of music that young ensembles may actually be interested in playing.

bravoooooooooooooo
