i wasn't going to ask you guys to do just help through it.......like give me ideas, tell me what i'm dong wrong....i'm new at this i just need some guidelines.....i would never cheat

I listened and, you know, I think one problem may be that it's too long for just a chorus - it's a song in its own right (that's how Grieg wrote it anyway). To make it a workable chorus, the verses may need to be quite long. I tried to imagine how a verse might be but can't because Solveg's song is too much on its own. I wondered what the key relationship of a verse should be. A large verse in the relative major with this chorus in the minor? Doesn't seem to sit right.

i already put words to it do you want me to record it with the words to it. i can do that for you guys....

I couldn't download it, but from reading what others are saying, have you considered taking parts of this piece and incorporating it into your song?

You might be able to find the printed music here:

I like your idea and have thought about doing something similar, but unfortunately I don't know enough about popular music forms.

Well, for what it's worth, I think that melody has lots of potential. No, scratch that, it's actually pretty nice. But I'm not sure I know what you're trying to do with it. I can hear a nice harmonization for it in my head, but it'd be Baroque-sounding and I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Your piano playing could use some polishing--it's at about the same level as mine. But this is a forum for people who write, not play, music! Right?
