December 30, 200916 yr A collection of unrelated miniatures for solo piano, which I hope to keep updating. Miniatures
December 30, 200916 yr This was very good. I am currently studying Prokofievs Visions Fugitives, it did remind me thereof. Speaking of Prokofiev: nr ii. whims reminded me of Prokofiev sonate 7. part 3 Precipitato. Well, I have no other than positive remarks. Interesting harmony (saw some quintal). Interesting rhythm. You made me curious to the other miniatures. BTW you know Koos Tamminga? Edited December 30, 200916 yr by jrcramer

When I clear some other projects in the pipeline, I'll write some more...they're really fun to write and one doesn't really have to worry about development or anything haha. Koos went to my high school in Kansas for a few years...we were next to each other in the trumpet section (he was an AMAZING player). I haven't talked to him in a long time though. How do you know him? I suppose Holland is a much smaller country :P
December 30, 200916 yr Prokofiev wrote 9 piano sonata's. So thats something to look into. Also his Visions Fugitives (or Fleeting Visions) are interesting: a set of 20(?) miniatures, like yours. Koos is studying at the same university as I am. I dont think the size of the netherlands has anything to do with this coincidence :P
