I really like the strings. You have a nice back and forth thing going. When the strings expand a bit around :35 is wonderful. When you break it down to almost all strings is very good. I would keep that part going and expand it. Also Dymanics! They are the ruler of all and everything. I would not be in a hurry to change chords at the end of the piece. Let those chords swell and fade away then change. Loads of potential!

Thanks for posting this, it's definitely a good start to an orchestral background (you're still welcome to post this sort of thing in the Game and Film Music forum, but here is fine too). I think amos is right in that some volume swells could really add life to your piece. You lost my interest between about 1:00 and 1:45, but maybe dynamics would help that a bit.

Basically I like this piece. I agree with the other two reviewers that some dynamics would definitely help keep the interest going. I felt that it lost its way a little in the centre of the piece, but apart from that I enjoyed listening to it. Thanks for sharing it!

Is there a score available?

The strings are lovely here. I like the ostinato-like patterns. My favorite section, however, was when the slow strings were all that was left. The ostinato died away and all that was left was this beautiful chorale-like string section, very nice indeed! However, before that, it took me an entire minute to lose interest. Dynamics are needed! Also, some more interesting writing in the brass. You have some nice horn lines which are being obscured by the strings (a mixer issue).

Keep writing! Lets see how this thing progresses.
