May 17, 200619 yr It's hard to hear the woodwinds in your MIDI. Overall, I think it's very nice writing. The only comment I have is really a technical thing. I'm not sure if you would want this performed, but remember that wind instruments have to breathe. Some of your extended passages leave the players gasping for breath. Now, I haven't seen your score, and you may have just put in some breath marks that end at the ends of phrases that doesn't translate out into the MIDI. Again, I think it's a very good start. I wish I could have written something without rules in my theory class.
