Tokkemon
The deadline for ASCAP's Morton Gould Young Composers' competition is coming up on March 1st. Anyone submitting anything? Anyone had past experiences? Anyone won (other than Graham <_<)? I've submitted twice seriously, the last time my Kindersymphonie. I didn't win but the letter said I was "among the finalists" whatever that means.
blackballoons
I'm submitting my violin sonata...my first time doing this competition, so I'm not sure how it'll turn out. :/
benxiwf
I will go ahead and send one in since I have scores ready to go. Is it common to send chamber music?
Tokkemon
You can send any instrumentation in any style. So I guess so.
MattZ2007
I'll try to finish my prelude in time. It needs to be postmarked by March 1 right?

jawoodruff
As you've entered before Justin, what paper size do you recommend?
Tokkemon
As you've entered before Justin, what paper size do you recommend? 8 1/2 X 11, but I don't think it matters. They're looking for quality of the score.
