Sunset, 1892

I like your portrayal of the sunset, and the many dimensions of it explored: the feeling of warmth and mellowness at first, then the sort of "so beautiful it hurts" angle you take towards the end, for two. Your build-up is also well done: you should be proud of this work!

(I'd love to see a score: I don't have Finale, so the Mus file doesn't work for me. Try uploading a PDF instead: you can download a PDFCreator on the net, and use it to virtually print your score on your computer. Keep in mind that the more accessible your score to the public here, the more attention your piece will get!)

What I tried to do in this piece was not only to capture the simplicity of the artwork, but also draw a parallel to the artist's life. At the time he created Sunset, 1892 he was dying and I wanted to capture the essence of George Inness as he was when he was painting it. But thank you for commenting on my music, and I would love to hear about my future music.

As we want to hear your comments on all our music :D

Lovely piece indeed and a nice performance.

great. As a viola player, I recommend going down an octave in the introduction "E". Lovely call and response 1;35 or so. So , picture painting!
