April 4, 201016 yr Really cool piece :) Just two things, those timpani hits sound a little odd on top of the drumset part...maybe it's just me but it seems a little out of place. The ending seems a bit too rigid as well. And I agree with Empyrium, it seems like it's about a pretty drunk pirate :lol: Fantastic piece though, I really liked it. :)
April 6, 201016 yr NIce little piece here - improvement once again. You're really starting to get the knack of composing :) Anyway, now that your harmonies and stuff are maturing as you compose more, it's worth starting to look at scores. Here's a good website for public domain scores. Study the scores carefully, preferably while listening to a recording of it, and observe. Look at what's happening for each section, check out the awesome techniques they're deploying. Have fun!! :P ;)
