The Final Battle

Featured Replies

Ok this piece was my end of the year music theory project. It is written for concert band but I took out some of the instruments because they are obnoxious on Finale and I wanted to have the project done in time. But yeah here is what I have. Let me Know what you think.

Great potential. The tones are unique. One thing you can work on is to add more percussion into the piece.

I think at the start, the snare. There should be some very low Strings in there to make it sound less empty.

Nice harmonizing with the Trumpets. ;)

I jumped on the loud beats. Nicely done, lol.

I do agree on more of the percussion, maybe some timpani.

I think it sounds really good overaall, but to me this doesn't much like a final battle, unless this song represents something else. Good Job, I give good credit on this piece, keep it up!

:w00t:

It didn't seem much like a fight; it wasn't intense enough to give me the sensation. Perhaps it's just the hallway in the lofty fortress leading up to the main villain or something, something that is somewhat ominous but not quite dangerous.

I agree it doesnt sound too much like a battle fight song. I think it would fit better as a song played with the credits or the intro to the game. Dont care for the percussion but its in midi so what can you really expect. But overall i found it alright. i'll look forward to hearing more from you

Thanks for the Comments. I will probably add some more timpani and stuff into it now. As for the name it was kind of a last minute thing. I just came up with a name real quick for the project. I'm willing to change it if you guys have any suggestions for a name or what the song makes you think of.
