March of Follies

Featured Replies

Hello,Well, nothing too much to say about this one. I originally wrote this for a contest that was being held on this forum some time ago, but, due to prior engagements, I never got around to writing the other two movements, so I just made this a stand-alone piece. This is supposed to be a lighthearted composition and doesn't take up more than three minutes. If you have any comments please let me know.-Steven

March of Follies

I like the idea of the opening very much. But because there is harmonically little going on, it lost my interest. To long build ups, to ... iono

I like this, though. There's a bit of harmonic playing around, but the orchestration and ideas are great, the rythms are driving and the percussion section is solidly used. Sounds a bit like jazz, with some march-like elements and even some film music-like moments. Pretty cool!
