This short soundtrack is just an impression, like a vision, an imaginery visit to the emperor of China.Being in front of the Forbidden City, in Beijing: crossing an ancient gate, a breathtaking sensation of fear and amazement... huge walls all around, colourful paintings and precious fabrics, the emperor is waiting for you and two long rows of soldiers in shining armors show the way.

hey there , its a fairly good piece , but at some places the sounds clashes together , and the instrument that ur using throughout the whole track gets annoying , and the the timpani hits are very repetetive that it gets boring near the end . also the intro needs some work . i dont think you should have repeated those 3 notes more than 2 times , it kills the melody ( thats my opinion) for me , i would have either kept it the same and composed another instrument line to accompany it , or i would have made the last times different .

its not a bad piece at all , it just needs some more work . but you definitely captured the feeling of being in china and the feeling of being in this huge exciting place!

The intro is pretty good. Starts us off on the asian feel immediately, though I would have a loved a little more soul to the melody. You then have a pretty good foundation but it just drags on for too long. If you could condense everything together (hit the theme sooner, etc), might make it a little less redundant. Overall, great job!

Hi, thank you very much for your comments, I appreciate the truth: these advices will be very precious for my future compositions.

I think that you both are absolutely right: this is a piece I composed 1 year ago and today there are many things I disagree with, for example the raw sounds I used (it has a kind of old consolle feeling), the mix (my first mix, sometimes it's quite confused, I think it's the reason why you stated "the sounds clashes together") and most of all I should have developed the melody, in order to keep the listener involved.

I didn't pay so much attention to percussions, thank you for telling me this.

I don't know, I liked the whole piece. The intro could have been shorter maybe.. But in overall the feel of entire theme was awesome. I know I have obsession with soundtracks, but this would make the great one, you know, in style of early Zimmer. Very good work.

Hi, thank you for listening. I thought that a longer intro (around 20 seconds) would be useful to get the listener into the atmosphere, I will study a better one next time.

Can I ask you what which works of Zimmer you are reffering to? I don't know nothing about him, but it certainly will be inspiring to listen to something new.

I really like this piece! It sounds really nice, but there were some minor issues...

1. I feel like you could have done something more with the flute in the beginning, other than repeating the same 3 notes - maybe a small melody or something.

2. While I like the instrument you use throughout the whole piece (The one that kind of sounds like mallets), I think you could have switched up it's melody a bit more

3. It sounds odd at around 1:02, when you DO switch the melody of the mallet-like instrument.

Other than that, great job!

Thank you for your appreciation and observations. I sincerely thought that this piece wasn't that good and I'm still thinking so because when I composed it I didn't know nothing about harmony, so it sounds quite static, there's no evolution (nor the chord progression neither the melody), it is only a bunch of ideas but they clearly show me a scene, which is the good part.

However I'm happy to read some positive comments, it's a good starting point.
