Die masjien wat werk (The Machine At Work)

Does it sound like a computerised machine at work?

Mod wheels and filters...oh yes. Well it definitely did the job. It has a nice 80's electronic vibe.

Imho, the right time to start with drums was before the harmony change on 0:35. Actually, I would prolong the same harmony base, start with drums before 1:00 runs out, and firstly then start with more obvious harmony base changes. :)

A very good work anyway.

I found this to be much better than your previous post and not just because of the lenght. What software did you use for this? Some of the sounds really sound like the old analogue synthesizers although I can definitely tell that they're not. You sound very much like a moog person so I suggest you get yourself an arturia minimoog, an excellent moog simulator for PC. It's fun to play with synthesizers and I tell you it's something else to play with the moog.

I enjoyed the beginning up to the point where drums entered. I think that when the drums entered you needed to introduce something else harmonically and not to repeat the previous idea you have played for almost two minutes. The drums could be a bit more prominent as it sounded to be in the background instead of supporting the music. For a longer piece like 5 minutes, instrumentation has to be interesting throughout. In order to keep it interesting for the listener, apart from harmonic changes, you should introduce some other sounds, special effects or whatever. Breakdowns are a good addition but it didn't help that much.

I think overall this was a good effort, I don't know what else to suggest.
