Romance for Violin and Orchestra

I dont know how you compose, but i often make the melody at the same time i have an idea how its will sound with harmonic then later do the real harmonization.

here it seems you just put in some random 3rds and chords. To be honest with you, the harmonies and melody seem a little... random... and not really a romance.

Have you hear beethovens romances for violin and orchestra??

and your last note in violin.... do you play it yourself? its way too high...

this is contemporary music anyway. not romantic

No prob. I love criticism so no need to apologize. I did do this before I had a better understanding of harmony, but there was some method to the madness.

As for the romance aspect I totally respect your opinion as this was intended to be a push-the-envelope type of piece, but I certainly disagree. Thanks for your honest comment!

I do love the Beethoven romances, though.
