Epic Battle Song

Featured Replies

Very nice!! I really like the usage of staccato - it really helped set the tone for the piece. I really like the melodies playing through.

The only thing I'd fault is the samples - is it done in notation?? If not, try editing some dynamics and stuff - it works a treat. This sounds more like the precursor to a major battle though - if you're aiming for the actual battle, try to make it a little more uneven and chaotic, and add some percussion in there ;) Don't hesitate to experiment with different instrument combinations, and really pack in the orchestra for the big march, and place special focus on the lower brass - like this:

Enjoyed the piece, thanks for sharing, and hope youu see you around!! :)

Good panning. Nice french horn sound. The strings leave a little to be desired but that's cool.

When you hit the gong, are the choirs in the background as well? Sounds kinda washy.

Nice work, Nick. You improved it!

Glad you guys liked it.

There are choirs there in the background as well, I'll try removing them and see what that sounds like.

I'm relieved to hear that the panning is ok. I'm rather new at orchestral composing and I hoped I had gotten the panning down.

Thanks for your input guys!
