A New Beginning

Featured Replies

Hey guys! So this is a song I've already posted up, but did some final touching notes on it. Simply made a couple instruments louder, one being the piano since during the chorus I want it to be heard, as it wasn't before. The bass was boosted up and strings at parts. Anyway...this song will have lyrics later on. It is sort of a ballad song, I'm not really sure what you'd classify it as haha.Basically...it's a song about starting a new life, a new beginning, and the joys of having a fresh start. During the chorus, it is more focused on that despite what hardships we face, family is what truly matters. The middle section is a sort of spot where it dwells on deaths, or losses, then it goes back to looking at the bright side until the climax of the song. Forgive the huge description haha I am quite tired and could babble on and on about this song. ANYWAY enjoy the piece! Think about the themes during it, and hopefully you'll like it <= D

A New Beginning

I think that the guitar flageolets are too loud in the beginning. Although this has guitar and drums I think it doesn't really fit in the standard rock. It might be more suitable in the Movie music genre. There are nice motifs on the piano, and string acompaniement is cool. What I don't like are the breaks, it feels like they are from a different song. Maybe you should try some sort of a build up to the chorus, not that sudden jungle groove of one bar on the drums and POW there it is. :P

I definitely liked it. However, some parts are getting too repetitive for my taste at times. This might pass absolutely unnoticed in case you added some lyrics.

@Phantom Haha I know, the guitar at the beginning really is too loud and believe me, it used to be way louder. I will try to make it quieter again. While I would have easily put this in a movie category, the reason I didn't is because I do intend on adding lyrics to it. If I didn't, then like Misha said it would be way repetitive haha. Along with the breaks, I personally like it as it is. I added a little thing with the glockenspiel and piano to sort of signify it is coming then it does. Thanks for taking the time to comment :)

@Misha Glad you liked it! As I said for Phantom, yes parts are repetitive but I do intend on adding lyrics so no worries haha. Maybe another time I'll re-do this song as only a movie piece which actually I think I will, and keep the drums out of it and guitar, just have some heavy strings and the piano with a couple other things haha :)
