Hello, here you have a minimalist style improvisation. The notes are based (acdba), the rest is a harmonic support.I tried to create a dissonant atmosphere. Thanks

BEAUTIFUL. So moodly.. I enjoyed it! Great job my friend :)

Okay, I really like this. The theme/main motif is sprawling with possibilities, the mood is excellent, the harmonies are really nice, varied but extremely cohesive.

I would not call the atmosphere 'dissonant' in the least, though. Perhaps it may be an argument of terms, but all of that sounded very consonant to me. The sounds were so different and handled so tastefully that the notes which might be dissonant really ended up sounding either like extension tones or effects (mainly effects), not dissonances. In order to be dissonant, there has to be a steady amount of beats in the sounds, and these sounds didn't do that.

Not that that's bad. Like I said, I like the mood you created.

I also don't know about this being very minimalist. The only thing minimalist about it IMO is that you have a motif that you repeat over and over. The changes you make to it are pretty drastic, relative to minimalist pieces.

Basically I'm just wondering about your labels of this piece. Sounds great. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your comments. ;)

I have no clue how we'd define this as "minimalist" or "dissonant". That aside, I enjoyed listening to this work; you sustained quite an interesting sense of ambience with your material.

I agree with Thingeh, this is hardly dissonant and minimal. It's more romantic with a nice movie-esque pad/soundscape behind it. Good work though, hope to hear more!
