Nocturne No. 1 - No Stars, Only Street Lights

Recently, I moved from my home in the suburbs to college in the city (Philadelphia, for the curious). In the city, the light pollution from buildings, cars and street lights make it difficult to see the stars, and there is no such thing as silence- something I revel in at home.These changes made me feel a number of things for the first few nights- sad, nostalgic, excited and strangely at peace. I tried to carry over this combination in the music. Also, I used samples from freesound.org to try and recreate what I hear out my window at nighttime.EDIT: The audio and score are now (almost :/) the same. I changed the score and the sound effects a teeny bit to add some variation.

Oh my gosh.....what an impact of sorrow! Such positive nostalgia...absolutely marvelous! And the sound effects add a nice touch, however, I would've liked the sounds to increase in intensity when the music did, for in the city there's no such thing as silence. Not too much, just enough to match in emotion. But other than my puny opinion, the piece was astounding! What will he come up with next?

Wow... this is amazing... I can see a little girl walking down the street... it's way too late for her to be outside.. but she's there... it's raining... the music is good. A bit repetitive maybe. but I can forgive that. because.. the extra sounds make this piece excellent.

I disagree with xmusicstarx13 on the part dealing with increasing the intensity of the sound effects... but I think that the music itself could have climaxed a little more.

I can definately say that the first 3:00 are good.. but my ear gets bored for the last minute. I do think the Bmaj chord towards the end saved it.

All in all this is really cool.
