Change clef for appogiatura

I have a sort of long appogiatura run that goes over two piano staffs, so I made the left hand treble clef for the run, but I want it to return to the bass clef for the note it leads into. Unfortunately, Sibelius seems to only recognize clef changes before actual notes, not any grace notes. Does anybody know if I can change the clef just for the appogiaturas (appogiaturi?), then switch back for the first note? Thanks!

Simply move the clef to where you need it. You might have to fiddle with it a little since it's a grace note, but it is possible to have only the grace put in one clef but the main note in another.

One would think that, but it doesn't seem to be possible, I've messed with it for quite some time.

I can think of two ways round this. The first is to add the appogiatura pitches as normal all in one hand as grace notes, then to use cross-staff pitches. This eliminates the need for a clef change as pitches too high for bass clef will be on the left-hand - treble - staff. Although this doesn't put every pitch into the same hand's staff as you were intending, the meaning is the same (most pianists I know would work out how to divide a run between the hands anyway).

If this doesn't work, you might have to 'fake' the appogiature then. First work out how many beats the run will take up when written in semiquavers or other short note value, and alter the time signature of the bar to accommodate this. Write in all the appogiatura pitches as normal before the 'real' note. Then a) select them and make them cue sized (the same as appogiatura size) and b) select and hide the time signatures at the beginning and end of the bar. Because your run now consists of 'real' notes you will be able to insert and move clefs around as normal, with all the pitches in one hand.
