Degrading

Featured Replies

A strange blend of relaxing and ominous emotions. This piece is based on an idea that was recorded quickly after an improv session. It's sort of repetitive (and a tad long in my opinion - about 4:30). I really appreciate those who endure the whole thing! Currently debating whether or not to write out sheet music for it... Thanks for listening.

This piece is very nice. I think you successfully use repetition effectively rather that bore the listener to death it gives a sense of security and when there is slight changes its not jarring but very pleasant. Good job.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you liked it and didn't find the repetition boring.

i really like the theme...but somehow dislike the middle

At first sight music seems to be very simple, but still pleasant. On the one hand, the piece is just a background for something else, but on the other hand, sometimes I get tired of that piling up of sounds and harmonies in modern avant-garde works.

The work brings in sad and melancholic thoughts.. Listening to this peice I imagine myself sitting by the window and looking at the rain.. I guess this kind of music could be used in some romantic movie.

by the way, why such a name for the piece?
