What is the "Pad" The guy is using to make beats with in this music video?

    Percussion sounds like a hiphop drum kit of some sort. Not too knowledgeable in the specifics of synths.

    Is it a MIDI Drum pad?

    It's a sampling drum pad. Roland and Yamaha have quite a few. It doesn't have any sounds in itself, you need to connect it to a soft-sampler and map it.
