Caro Morticina - flute duet

This is my first twelve-note composition. It is written for two flutes.

Caro Morticina - flute duet

Good work for your first twelve-tone composition. What was your process in organizing the rows? It sounds like the rows play out very simply, one at a time in each instrument. I was hoping to hear more variation, and some of my favorite parts were when I heard repeated notes because it seemed to break the pattern. Do you happen to have a score you can upload?

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! In the two first bars I use the main row in the first flute, while the second flute create harmonies. From the accents in bar 2 the first flute is playing the a inversion of the second cell. The second flute is playing the second and third cell in bar 13 and 14. In bar 16, you find a iversion of the eight first notes from the main row, while the second flute plays the main row in its original form. I use the two first cells in the first flute in bar 18. Both flutes play the main row in bar 20-26, but I remove every second note. The same is done in bar 27, but the first flute play a half note lower.

Any other opinions on this piece? Iwould really like some feeback, since his is the first time I write a piece in this style.

No time signature at the beginning...and why the hand written font? The double flats are also a bit strange...

Fixed! I don't know why I chose the hand written font, really. I guess I'm just tired of always using the same old font in Sibelius. Any comments on the piece?
