Strings + Timpani - Making it bigger

So, I've been working on this piece for the game i'm making, with a string orchestra and timpani. It's supposed to be a big loud theme song for this rich dude, a weapons manufacturer. He's high-strung, so i was thinking of going with something like a tango, but i figured that this would work better. Basically i'm looking for suggestions on how to make it sound more grandiose, as well as the usual crits. Thanks!

Also, i just saw that i had put two cellos by mistake. It's supposed to be a cello and a bass for the bottom voice.

To make it *grander*?! How about not starting with a string quartet...

If you had listened to the piece (or even read my post...) you would have noticed that it's not actually a string quartet. Originally it was (hence the aged title) but I had the same thoughts you did.

I would've thought that you'd at least listen to it before commenting :/

I would add some cymbal crashes at the end of some of the Timpani rolls
