Lily's Nocture

Featured Replies

Piano piece written for an animation named "Lily and the Dream Catcher". My first attempted and writing for picture. I treated the composition much like a silent film, as the piano was there to create music as well as the sound fx for certain parts. Chopin's Nocturnes were my main influence for the piece. I think you have some nice tones, as well as some surprising directions, like at about 1:00 through :) I think if you loosened up the left hand's ostinato and let it sort of "flow" more with some smoother and larger arpeggios, it might help loosen up the piece as a whole.

Do you know how to provide a score along with your work? Try downloading PDF Creator, if not -- it's a great app for it.

Thanks for sharing! It was a nice little listen ^_^
