Need people to critique a song of mine

Featured Replies

Heya Guys, please tell me if this isn't the right place for this thread but anyway, I just joined this forum, look really useful, and I thought that a good first thread for me would be some well needed criticism on a song of mine.

http://db.tt/CnSpClI (< that's the song)

It's meant to be a kinda cheesy prog pop song (yeh I know it's not that prog, but this song is meant to be a little more 'innocent ;) ). I'm influenced mostly by bands like The Dear Hunter and Forgive Durden (Razia's Shadow era). If you don't like the song that's cool, but I really just wanna know how you might think to make it compositionally better.

Also bear in mind I'm a guitarist and can't play any of these instruments apart from a little piano and drums, although this was all composed on the keyboard, so if I make some instruments play weird stuff, or am missing some things tell me please.

Anyway yeh, I'd like to hear pretty much all your thought (apart from the dirty ones :P).

Cheers Tom
