July 4, 201114 yr Just a thought of having the NYC YCers meet. As this may cover Northeastern, Central New Jersey, NYC, Long Island, Westchester and Southeastern CT and as some of you are out of the area during some of the summer, I'd like to know three things from those in these environs - a) Are you interested? b) If yes to a) Would it be easiest to meet in Manhattan? c) What is your availability? First off, if you are under 18, I would require written parental consent that you can come out either on your own or accompanied by someone older. I am 44 and I do not want parents to be creeped out that if this goes thru, you will be hanging with some people 20 years your elder. As for what we would do - simple, an inexpensive restaurant with no alcohol served. Or at most wine. Another option is to meet up to go to one of the free concerts in the NYC. Anyway, it is an idea and I would ask for one or two people to assist with the planning if there is enough interest. I am looking to have a minimum of 5 and a max of 12. Finally this doesn't have to be done in the summer - fall is more comfortable in NYC anyway.

July 4, 201114 yr Five words: Summer Concerts in the Park A blast if you can make it early enough to get a good seat. I'm around the City on weekends mostly. But I couldn't imagine there'd be too many of us.
July 6, 201114 yr Oh, yes, I would love to visit, unfortunately it's a little bit out of my budget to be able to make it up to New York at the moment. Maybe some other time! Unless all of you wanna come to Texas?
July 9, 201114 yr Author For the New Yorkers - Suggested meet up - th Met Opera has a few outdoor leid copncerts in the city throughout July. There will be one in Queens not far from Midtown and another in Harlem. Got to the MEt website for info and pm me what works for you.
July 20, 201114 yr Not sure if this happened already or not, but I live on Long Island so anwhere in NYC is not a problem to get to if anything is ever planned again.
