August 2, 201114 yr I'm not anti modern per se, just anti-delusion/anti-pretentious. I think anti modernists will die of laffter from this, perhaps some good-humored modernists will get a chuckle. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/12206684/commissioning-a-composer
August 2, 201114 yr I write modern music but this is HYSTERICAL :D I almost cried when she said "I should have just played at weddings"
August 2, 201114 yr And this is why it's important to have examples of your works at the point that you sell commissions :P
August 2, 201114 yr Honestly, I didn't think this was very funny. The funniest part was the cute characters and robotic voices. The dialogue was rather boring. I was expecting some sort of twist but that was it.
August 2, 201114 yr XD, how about a piece for 31-tet (the frets are really close together and are hard to play) guitar with a 7/5/3 (or more complicated) polyrythym, with sung Klingon (required to be sung in perfect 11-tet against the 31-tet guitar) while playing an organ pedal board with one foot, and another guitar with another foot (using your toes to play hammer ons and pull offs) OH!!! And with a nose flute! Haha, I think I am going to do this now, just to see if anyone would be crazy enough to preform it. I will call it DuHHa' (Klingon for impossible)
August 2, 201114 yr The only thing is that except for rare cases, the intent is never "just because...." Maybe I'm just getting needlessly defensive. Also, you and your microtones haha.
August 5, 201114 yr I love this little xtranormal episode things. Modern music is not the only subject these people have covered.
August 5, 201114 yr Yea, wasn't there one about getting paid to sing at church services? That one was really funny.
August 18, 201114 yr I did not think it was that funny. although I liked the emotional blackmail: "you are a very talented musician, I know you can do it" bohaa...
August 18, 201114 yr Loved it. New composers motto: "This is my composition, I'm sure you can do it." Someone needs to make an equally funny one about "revivalists", neo-whatevers, what ever you want to call it. I leave that to you two jokers tokke and jaws.
August 18, 201114 yr Be gentle. We Revivalist types are made of sugar and kittens. Oh and awesome. :P
August 18, 201114 yr Well, I couldn't resists tokke, so I made my own. I still expect one from you! Plus yours would probably be more funny, you could probably come up with more jokes than me, being on the....."OTHER SIDE"...and all. I also decided to poke fun at myself. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/12384314/commissioning-a-neo-composer?listid=25089254
August 19, 201114 yr 80 minutes for one movement?! HAHAHAHAHA! "And a string section larger than the audience."
