Compatibility Of Soundcloud With Youngcomposers.com

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if there's a better thread to post this in, but I was just curious as to why youngcomposers.com doesn't have compatibility with Soundcloud when posting music?

Soundcloud, being the most popular place to share music (it's almost like the YouTube of music), seems like it'd be an excellent an simple way to post compositions here.

Thoughts?

I'm confused to as what you want. Do you want to link YC and soundcloud accounts together so if you post on one, it automatically posts to the other? Or do you want YC to become more like soundcloud?

When uploading music, you can only upload directly from the computer or link to YouTube. I'd like to have it so that Soundcloud is also an option when linking music. Sorry for being vague.

There is nothing to stop you from including a url to youtube or soundcloud or any other website. This would be in the body of your post and is separate and distinct from YC upload procedure. Putting the link in via the upload procedure gets you a picture thumbnail to go with your post. Substituting the soundcloud player app instead of the YC player doesn't make sense and I'm guessing would be discouraged because of this.

Why can't we just have the option for both? We should be able to embed a YouTube and/or SoundCloud widget thing.
