Macbeth Overture

Featured Replies

Two questions...

1) Do you have a score? At a first listen, the music seems to be pretty good, well-structured in a very classical way, although with somewhat puzzling dissonances added here and there, especially towards the end. But the sound quality does a disservice to the work itself, especially during the sections featuring the bass tremolos, which seem to drown everything else. We could have a better idea of what the piece is supposed to be if we could read it while listening.

2) Is this related in any way to our Summer Competition? You've written a piece based on Shakespeare, so it might qualify if you wanted it to - but I didn't see you as an entrant, so it's your call. You can find the guidelines right here.

Thank for your answers guys :D

Austenite, I'm still working on the score (mostly because im not used to write for brass instruments yet, so thats mostly why some dissonanses can be heard), about the summer competition, i didn't knew about it, its for a major work im working in, but it would be interesting to participate. Thanks for the info cx

I tried to use a better set of instruments but i dont really know how to export it to MP3.

I have not heard Verdi's Macbeth but i will indeed, this work is not part of an opera though, but i will take that as a complement I guess. :D
