Hitting the keys strongly :(

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a problem when playing my compositions, my fingers hit the keys strongly and that cause/add noise to my music especially when recording. I don't know if the problem with my software/hardware or me. I tried not hitting the keys strongly but I could not do that and if I did the music sounds not a live. Please need guide.

Thanks

Lucky....my teachers are always saying I do not play deep enough into the keys and I need to be stronger.

Where do you put the microphone on your instrument? And what kind of microphone do you have. I'm far from an expert on this matter but check this out: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug05/articles/giltrap.htm ... It's an artickle on how to mike up a piano and harpsichord.

PLAY LOUD!!!!

BEAT THE scraggy OUT OF YOUR PIANO!!!!

It feels good dammit.
