June 16, 20178 yr A piece I wrote for a newly formed wind quintet at my university, though they haven't got to trying it yet. My longest single-movement work so far, and it took a lot of work to keep it going and (hopefully) keep it fresh. It was a great opportunity to play around with tonality and harmony though. June 16, 20178 yr Measure 6 stood out to me as a place with a weird suspended tone attached to it. The other times it seems to be predicated a little bit better, but maybe that's just my ear. I think you mastered ensemble spacing in this piece too. Good job!
