September 27, 20178 yr I just joined this website yesterday, but have lurked here for quite some time. It is very interesting to engage with fresh compositions in a multitude of styles, and have listened to quite a number of them from this site in the past. Now, I am a musical dilettante, which means I have composed a number of pieces in the past twenty years, but only few of them are at least bearable for me, and even less for anyone else. I have dabbled with serial compositions, counterpoin in a somewhat neobaroque style, folk music and music influenced by the galant style. But I take ages for stuff trained composers probably write in a few hours, so my output is very limited. Still, this forum has encouraged me to share some of my works to improve my compositional skills. Also, while I am no expert, I hope I can offer helpful comments for other aspiring composers from time to time. English is not my first language, so please bear with me if I use faulty grammar or the choose the wrong words. The language of music is hopefully universal enough to overcome such barriers.
