Can I ask for a comment on my song please?

I have this song which I composed about an year ago and now I found out about this site. Can anyone tell me an oppinion or do a little comment on it? I'd love an expert's oppinion.

The beggining sounds like a work of brilliance but then after that intro to me it starts to sound not very great with the drums. It sounds kind of like a pop song. Personally, I don't like the sound of it. But the beggining really good. I suggest having just piano in this song.

I just listened to your piece, and I thought it had potential.

It was an interesting instrumentation, first of all! I wish I could see a score of it. I actually didn't mind the added percussion...it was simple and gave it a little movement.

The opening sequence with the piano was very wistful. and the rest of the peace communicated a flowing and peaceful moods. The only thing I'd suggest for your future writing (if you have not already done so) is to try to vary the piano writing, for example, a little more rather than repeating scale and arpeggio patterns. You can still communicate the same feeling but with more life and creativity that way! It's sorta like speech - you can say the same thing in many different words but some are more effective than others to communicate the idea.

It sounds like you have a good ear and you are still young...I think you are on your way. I only started composing at about age 19 or 20 so you are already ahead of me in that respect :D Keep on posting your music, we'll keep listening and trying to help.
