That's also the point I'm not convinced about.

If you're talking about audio data, Finale can't manipulate it. If you're talking about MIDI data, essentially Finale can match a sequencer's output - it's just in many cases (not all) going to take you longer to get there. It's also fair to point out that working from scratch, Finale's starts you out farther along because of its Human Playback feature.
