I've never heard this before and loved it. This (I think) was the sacred music not allowed to be written down but who Mozart memorized and wrote down on 2 hearings.

It is that piece. He wrote it down after 1 hearing, and went back to make small corrections.

Didn't Mendelssohn also do this?? I think I heard that..

He didn't just write it down after one hearing. He wrote it down PERFECTLY after one hearing.

I Love this piece. we sing it in my cathedral choir. :(
