Ni Hao,

This piece is dedicated to all of the tortured and abused Falun Dafa practitioners in China.

welcome to the site, Daniel.

This is only your second composition? It's very pretty, a lovely tribute piece.

The melody is simple but pretty, and the piece recapitulates the main theme and does some development so you have the beginnings of understanding basic structure, good.

The only thing I'd suggest at this point is to remember that the first statement you make in your piece is very powerful, and its the first impression your audience has of the piece. Maybe you could present your melody right off instead of the introduction as it is, and then go from there. Or, you could work the introduction in later in the piece, or near the end in some way (nont exactly as written in the beginning, but maybe creatively interwoven. I think it would still work, and it would perk people's ears right up. OF course, these are just little ideas for the future. I think you have a lovely second work here, keep writing and posting here!

hope to see you around here a lot in the future :)

Really? Cool!

I go to LSU in Baton Rouge :)

I'm from Virginia, but I moved here for school...and ended up staying for a while :P
