The Iron Giant (Epic Hybrid Orchestral composition)

Featured Replies

Hello friends ! Just made this little piece. "The Iron Giant" is a reference to the animation movie of the same name, created in 1999 by Brad Bird, my favorite one when I was a kid.

My composition has obviously not the same context as the movie, but I put some sound references in it ! Hope you'll like it, and don't hesitate to give your feedbacks if you want !

thanks for listening and have a grreat day.

Amazing recording. What sound library are you using? It totally fits with an action movie, orchestra, voices and some sound effects, nice combination!

Thank you very much !

For this composition I used several Kontaky Librairies, such as Metropolis Ark 1 for brasses, strings and choirs

For percussions I used Damage from Heavyocity (also comes with great hybrid samples that I modified so it fits to my track) , Hybrid Drums from 8dio  and Rhapsody.

For Synths I only used GMS, an FL Studio plugin

For reverb I used Vallhala Shimmer/Room

I love the low brass section dynamics.

I use Vienna Instruments special edition with Vallhala room. Vienna has very good sound quality, but I miss some dynamics (crescendo, diminuendo, pfp...)...and it seems Metropolis is very good at that.

you can create crescendo or diminuendo by creating dynamic (or mod wheel) automations. Btw  I recommend using the free plugin "BRSO articulate", which is a must-have for any Kontakt users !
