January 26, 20206 yr I'm not sure I like the harp subbing for the guitar. It makes it seem there is a juxtaposition of different harmonic environments -which doesnt quite blend well (doesnt help that the flute volume drowns out the accompaniment!!!) I'd very much like to see a score though to give you a more thorough review.
March 14, 20206 yr The arpeggiations in the "guitar" are quite nice, but the flute doesn't seem to quite know what to do over them. Lots of modal motion, yes, but I struggle to hear a pattern. In addition, I think you can limit how many places of solo instrument there are; some of the work, but there are quite a few and make the piece feel sectional.
