Seeking help (piano chord arrangements)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, i am seeking help about chord arrangements for my short melody.

My anniversary with wife is coming up, and i recently wrote a short melody (im not a musician) and i am having a hard time adding the chords alone with the melody ( only around 30 secs long)

Could you guys help me out please. I deeply appreciate it ❤️

hello! I don't know if you're looking to do it by hand, or if you want to do it on a score, but what helps me add chords when I wanna make a melody a bit prettier, is to write it out on MuseScore (or any other score-writing software) so I can edit it out easily and see how it sounds.

If you're having trouble hearing what you want (like a word that's on the tip of your tongue), try rolling some chords.  Sometimes it's easier to hear what you want if you build one note at a time.  So play a few notes of melody slowly, then when you get to where you feel a new chord should be, slowly roll a chord and hold it, then play the next few notes of melody.  Hearing it that way can make it easier to decide that, say, the bottom note in the chord IS what you want, but the middle note ISN'T.  Having isolated the problem, you can try a few other options.  Good luck!
