i(don't)suckatcomposing
I composed this piece for Me, My brother, and father to play. I play Tuba, Brother plays Flute, Dad play Guitar(I wished he play baroque guitar, or play better). We have nothing better to do, so maybe one day we will play it. I wrote the chords wrong, but it is corrected in the PDF. wesleymiller
I like this! I would say that m.14 the flute should play a melodic minor, not a natural minor, correct? Also, I see a number of doubled leading tones throughout this piece between the guitar and tuba, which might not fit the style this piece is going for, but overall well done. I like the improvisatory feel this has.
i(don't)suckatcomposing
@wesleymiller If you call this a Flute & Tuba Duet, I don't see a problem with the counterpoint/harmony. Then you add my low-skilled guitar playing dad playing the chords, lets call him the harmony reinforcement. As for the m14 flute, it is a G minor scale, it is suggesting a V/V, which leads to a V7 in the original key. It is a quick temporary key-change. Thanks for your comment!
