Fruisen Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 (edited) Hi again! I wrote this piece for fun after attending a horse race. Thank you for listening if you do! 🙂 Edited June 7, 2020 by Fruisen Quote
Bradley Scarff Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Very nice piece! I can see the inspiration horse racing may give to it as well. If you ever revisit this piece I personally would have put a more lyrical section in the middle where there can still be the recurring motif in the bass but over a pleasant melodic line. though that is just my opinion. Also are you categorising this piece as A major or D major? the video and title of the post conflict. Quote
Tónskáld Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) What a fun piece!!! I don't know how I missed it when you posted it on Sunday. It's very lyrical and captivating, especially with the chromaticism and colorful chord progressions. Fine work! I will echo what @Bradley Scarff says... I think a short interlude with the melody in the bass/left hand would be very tasteful. But fantastic job nonetheless! Edited June 9, 2020 by Tónskáld 1 Quote
Fruisen Posted June 10, 2020 Author Posted June 10, 2020 Thank you @Bradley Scarff and @Tónskáld that’s very kind of you! The piece is in D Major not A I made a very silly typo, but when I revise the piece I will definitely take your suggestions into account. 1 Quote
