Rescue Attempt and Ambush

All right, first of all, I would like to note that I have not received any formal musical education whatsoever. So, some things I say may not make sense and you might not make any sense to me.. I am trying to further my education in whatever spare time I have, so please don't consider me completely ignorant. :toothygrin:

I just wanted to say that so that I would have an allibi for not posting the score or my techinques and whatnot. All of the music I have written so far has been done by piano roll in FL Studio, with the MIDI triggering Gigastudio samples.

So, here's my first piece of which I would like to ask for your opinions, "Rescue Attempt and Ambush":

Any criticism, good or bad, is GREATLY appreciated! I've already received some pretty good advice on Soundclick, but I believe in getting just as much advice as I can possibly take.

for someone who's not had any musical training as you say, it's very very good, the pace and techniques of playing (of which i won't bore you with) are very well placed. The timpani roll which draws the two sections together in the middle is a very nice touch and flows, the only thing I wasn't too sure on was the abrupt end? Apart from that well done.

It's a shorter version of the full piece, which isn't quite finished.. I thought it worked in a film format, since it would be a good time to cut to another scene. But, in standalone, it is a bit short. I haven't quite figured out where to go after that, but I'm brainstorming when I can.

I'm glad you approve of it! If you don't mind "boring" me with details, I won't mind being "bored". ;) As I mentioned in my first post, I am trying to learn as much as possible, so any information is always appreciated. Thanks for listening, though.

congratulations man i really liked it, a lot of tension and stress it will work really well in a thriller movie or action thriller i think keep working

Wow, glad you guys liked it. :D I just recently got the Complete Symphonic Collection from SONiVox (Sonic Implants), so I'll be implementing those instruments and finishing up this piece pretty soon (hopefully).
