Allegretto in C

Featured Replies

I tried composing a more light hearted piece with more unusual ideas that makes fun of itself in a way.

Very nice.    My only suggestion is that the ending is a bit abrupt, I would expand it a bit into more of a little coda.

Charming little work, nice job! Everything fit well, I think, except for the end of the middle section. In my opinion, that should have ended in an authentic cadence (G major or some derivative thereof) in order to make the C minor repeat flow better.

I also think the ending should end on the first beat, not the third. This breaks the patterns you've set in the rest of the piece. (But it's your piece and you are free to do with it as you see fit, of course!)

Just my two cents. Thanks for posting this—it's very uplifting!

Thank you for listening and for your comment. I think you're right, although expanding the coda might itself become a third section. I have moved the coda to close the recap of section B so that its less abrupt.

Thank you very much for your feed back, it was really useful. I reworked it to see if I could improve it.
