Dear friends,

It's another short figurative work after my Sententia for Solo Cello. This 3-minute piece is written for an Image Challenge in a Facebook group. About the scene, it is about a kitten who realized it has the power to become a lion. And it did, in its dream. The kitten saw the lion roaring in the reflection, as if it was fighting for its own glory and fate. The kitten woke up eventually and understand one day it is going to be a lion.

To be frank, I could have done more "transformation" in terms of music development (from kitten to lion), but I think I did it in an acceptable pace, at least for this challenge.

I do see potential developing it into a longer work though. What do you think?

Hope you enjoy the music:)

Wow!  I love how you pass the main theme around throughout the different instruments and registers - the dotted rhythm gives it quite a sprightly feel.  I think all the previous pieces of yours that I've heard have been much more experimental and this mostly stays tonal with some chromatic enhancements that makes it sound fresh and quirky.  I think it's a little unusual to have the string tremolos that you have marked as staccato though.  Besides that I didn't see any problems although I didn't really go into detail.  Despite it being quite chromatic in many places it stays thematic which is always enjoyable to hear.  Thanks for sharing!
