June 13, 20214 yr Evan Erickson, a skillful 18-year-old clarinetist and composer from Iowa, is seeking new compositions written for B-flat clarinet. This Call For Scores is aimed towards unrecognized, talented young composers who have not had many performances of their works. Evan is passionate about enriching the world through new music, and wants to provide a good quality recording of selected composer’s pieces with a live performance, along with a small cash prize. 4-5 pieces will be picked. If selected: Evan will prepare selected works for his 2022 recital, where each piece will receive a live performance. Performed works will also be recorded on a quality microphone (along with video, if requested) and sent to the composer to use at their discretion. Depending on his financial situation at the time, $50 for each selected piece will be provided to the composers.
