July 13, 20214 yr I like the occasional phrygian and sometimes even locrian flavors you introduce in the oboe melody. There are some mistakes/inconsistencies between the score and the mp3 (meas. 24 beat 10 you have a D natural when there should be a D# and in meas. 37 you have a B natural when I hear a Bb - these are just two that I caught - is this recording and score pdf from the same version of the piece?) Also you say you performed the work but the recording is clearly a noteperformer rendition as you mentioned in the description above ... ??? Overall an enjoyable and interesting modal interlude! Thanks for sharing.
July 13, 20214 yr Author You have a really good ear ... I went back to the Finale file ... and yes it is a B flat and yes Finale did not put in the cautionary accidental # for the D! I really appreciate the feedback and I am glad you found the work enjoyable. I'll post a new PDF.
