3 Contiguous Improvisations for Piano No. 1

Featured Replies

The first one sounds to me like I 'composed' it instead of - like all of them - made it up as I went along from musical material seemingly and apparently unconsciously known but not consciously perceived before playing because "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" begins to make its appearance about half-way through.

I really enjoyed the first section ... the other 2 sections I had more difficulty relating to them as they were a bit more obscure for me.

The first section had a minimalist/impressionist flavor, similar to works by Satie and Debussy with a mysterious embracing warmth.

Second section is more multiple in the way of types of genres that you can mix in melody, but firsat part is simply brilliant!

thanks. i like that random chord i hit at 0.32. i have software that converts audio to sheet music, i may have to go figure that one out. but can something be brilliant if you didn't take much active hand in making it? if not, then i feel free to agree wholeheartedly with you!
