June 4, 20223 yr I wrote this for a recital i did a couple weeks ago. probably the prelude/ interlude sections sound more improvised than i was intending but much of it was written kind of hastily. The influences were John Bull, Orlando Gibbons, Thomas Tomkins, maybe Frescobaldi and Leonora Duarte as well. There's a page turn halfway in, just a head's up. Edited January 1, 20242 yr by gaspard
June 5, 20223 yr You have very good skills, but I don't want to repeat myself. Simply beautiful, thank you for sharing this and I do hope to see more pieces from you here soon. The kind of "Spanish" progression you do around 2:26 sounds exquisite to my taste, by the way. Kind regards!

Kind regards! Thanks so much...the Spanish stuff probably comes from the virginalists, especially John Bull.....not sure how that spanish/ arabic sound got in their music but it's there. Definitely check them out!
