idk how to even classify this, jazz-folk?

I’m probably gonna make an album of a similar substance to this

I'm not an expert in classifying things by genre so I cannot help ya, but, dunno. I don't know if jazz goes that far (things like 1:30 and so on)  and there seems to be either some electronic effects or dunno. And folk, iirc folk music depends on the country, why would this be folk?

Kind regards!

I quite liked this. It sounds just modern music with a strong contemporary jazz flavour. it could almost be a sketch for a Pete Rugolo lounge piece with its Interesting jazz-inspired harmony. The electronic instrument to the left sounded slightly out of keeping and might be best to trace the bass line better - perhaps it does but it seems too sustained to cope with harmonic progressions over the top.

Last comment: It feels like it should end at 1'34" with the electronic instrument cut out altogether. This is just my reaction of course and if you're happy with it...well, you're the composer!

All the best.

I forgot what forum I was in at first; I expected there to be a chill vibes lofi beat to pop in at some point lol. I didn't really get that recorder sounding instrument though, it might be better without it. Cool jazzy track, don't think this is much of a folk piece. Let us know about the album bruh
