December 5, 200916 yr Well... I'm largely self-taught... so memorizing has always been the key technique for me. Dunno, I just remember stuff. I don't really have to put any effort into it. I just play it from the sheets a couple of times (veery slowly... :P) and after that it's easier for me to focus on the keyboard, because it's already in my head, but not in the fingers. This has seriously hampered my abilities to read sheets and play straight from sheet music though. I seriously need to develop that ability more.
